Fansastic do it all combat knife!
This knife served me well on deployments in Iraq and in SWAT ops at home. I have had just one of these going on 10 years now. Bought several for team members and friends. Excellent size, balance, and very tough. It will take all the abuse you can give it. Stays sharp, and it is reasonably priced. Best deployment knife around.

    Loves abuse!
I purchased this knife in 2000 when I went to Marine Corps boot camp. This knife has been the premiere survival tool for me. I've sharpened it maybe a handful of times. It has been with me through several deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, not to mention training exercises the world over. I lost count of how many trophy animals I have field dressed with this knife in my off time. As far as reliability this knife beats all. The best knife I have seen!

    happy to re-own
this knife was given to me as a gift years ago before my first deployment. everyone that it was shown to was amazed at its incredible sharpness and design. it was stolen a year later, causing me to consider buying another. sure enough, the same razor sharpness is back. if you want a fixed blade that is super sharp out of the package, buy this.

    Good Knife
The knife is great. I have used it for many things and it has never failed me. I use it when I am teaching aircrew survival and use it for everything from splitting wood to digging holes. The knife remains sharp between each use. The only problem is that the sheath needs redesigned to hold the knife better.

    Beastly
This knife is nothing less than amazing. When i first used it,I was amazed at how sharp it was when it came. Its sharp enough to shave with and certainly can cut through other harder materials (Card board, leather, rope, anything really)This knife feels very sturdy in your hand, its blade is nice an thick and I doubt itll break or bend. The serrations on it are excellent. This is one of my best buys.

    Outstanding!
I had one of these issued to me in 2003 when I deployed to Iraq. I used it everyday and beat the crud out of it. It took a beating from hours of bordom throwing it into board, cutting rope, or making shot glasses out of water bottles for the ocasional unauthorized beverage from the Italians. This little knife never needed sharpening. I liked it so much when I returned to my home station I ordered one on-line and turned the new one in with my gear and kept the one from my tour. I still use it when I climb in the smokies or hunt hogs in FL. It can't be beat for the money. It's ergonomics are amazingly compfortable, and its well balanced.

    not to impressed
I bought this knife based on the reviews and because this website says it's made in the USA. I am not too impressed with this knife for two reasons... 1) its made in Taiwan, NOT USA. 2) the grip is a hard plastic which looks and feels cheap. On the other hand, the knife is very sharp and I like the blade design.

    Awesome Knife
This is a great knife. It is sharp, durable, and most important affordable. I hunt, fish, and dive with this knife and it nas never let me down, and never rusted. I also own a KaBar and I would say that this knife is hands down much better. If you are in the market for a quality product buy this knife.

    Excellent Knife For The Money
This is the second SOG product I have purchased. I first purchased the Seal 2ooo as my primary dive knife. I then purchased the Seal pup to wear on my tact vest. Both have remained razor sharp after many uses. I carry these knives into hostile enviroments in which if my equipment fails it could result in me having a really bad day. Trust SOG.
