Bad
The wire saw is a good idea on paper but does not live up to its description. I found it hard to just cut a 1/4 inch of white pine, a soft wood. Spend a few extra bucks and get the pocket chainsaw. Much better investment.

No Bad, But Not Great
I have used these for years and they are not very good. They do work well in a pinch, but trying to cut anything of size results in breaking the wire. Yes I know that its not really designed to cut branches of size, but some times you don't have a choice. Like I said Not Bad, But Not Good Either

Good
Cuts well but it's hard to coil up. It's useful in the bush

great hard to coil up again

great, but...
while the saw itself works great for cutting just about anything, it comes coiled up, so when you go to cut something it will be fighting to return to its coiled position.i realize that this is a problem with anything metal, but it still keeps it from getting a perfect score. also, it is hard to keep perfectly coiled for transportation, you will have to weave it in and out of itself to get it to stick. overall though, a great buy for six bucks.
