These Boots Are Outstanding

I purchased a pair of these at ft. Benning px back in the 80's after infantry ait a month later i wore them at reforger 86 all over europe in the fall. At the time gortex was fairly new. It was cold an wet during that field problem an my feet stayed warm an dry. In the infantry we called these ranger go devils. I spent 25 year's in the army all infantry an the danner boots is all i wore.

I purchased the danner 8 straight out of tech school. Worked the flight line on jet engines, they were warm in the harsh nebraska winters, and the leather/stiching did not yield to the chemicals they were exposed to i.E. Aircraft oil, jp4-8, hydraulic fluid, grease and all the water exposure. In the summers i'd put polish on them, in the winter i'd mink oil them. After eight years they were my #1 choice in comfort, durability and general combat boot foot issues were not evident. They got me through deployments, tdy's, sorties, and a unforgiving working environment. If your a ground pounder they will last you a hell of a long comfortable time, if your a man in a diverse atmosphere these too will remain dependable and meet your expectations. Cheers, e.

At the advice of a new york state trooper, i will be purchasing a pair of recons with my next paycheck. He swears by them, and i don't take his word lightly. Apparently, you can put these boots through just about anything and they will deliver. I have tried other danner boots before and had excellent results. If a new york state trooper swears by them, then they must be some pretty serious boots.
A Boot You Can Trust Your Life With.

These boots are great, i have run over 2000 miles in these from uk to hong kong with only wear to the soles. Almost as comfortable as running shoes, very warm for european summer - great for winter though. Provide adequate support and grip for most terrain, not good grip in wet clay and serious mud, but what is. They are are a great fully waterproof combat boot, sole has too much grip for spinning kicks and will damage your knees, enough for climbing and repelling. The only problem is the squeeky sole which may be a problem if you need the element of surprise for close combat. So try before you buy - if they squeek they always will. I hope this will help in making your choice. Will i get another pair? Of course i trust them with my life.

Put the boots through the rigors of recon training and held up better than issued footwar. Feet felt great relatively speaking after waring for 78 hrs. Highly recommended. Should last a lifetime under civilian demand.
