good but not great

I bought these because I had a pair of Wellco boots in Iraq and I was impressed by how well they held up. I figured that these would be as good. They're good boots but they're not great. PROS: They are waterproof. I went walking through a swamp for a couple of hours in these and my feet stayed dry. The toe and sole are holding up nicely. They provide great ankle support. Made in the USA. CONS: They don't breathe all that well. One of the eyelets came off the post but it was easy to fix and I haven't had a problem since. Price. CONCLUSION: Not bad, but little or no ventilation. What you get in trade however is more support. I use them daily and I expect them to last a long time. I would probably buy these again.
