So far so good

Bought these boots about a month or 2 ago. Very comfortable right out of the box. Waterproofing works great for puddles (haven't tried them in anything deeper yet). Lace system is alright, just takes a little bit to get used to. Definitely beats the bellevilles that were issued to me.

Comfortable but not durable

I have these boots for three months now and to a degree its a dissapointment in the durability department. I'm Cav Scout and I'm on the go all the time. I wear these on a daily basis. We did a Leaders Reaction Course where there was water involved. After submerging them in water, the outter layer of the boots started to stain and have dark spots some areas of the boots. I just used tap water to rinse my boot out. As of now, the material is starting to fray. Out of the box the rubber soles have some indentions and air pocket holes from the molding process. I wouldn't exactly call it precisionly made. But with all the negative aspect of these boots, they are dang well comfortable. Very good arch and ankle support. The shin area is still a little stiff even though I work the heck out of these boots. I had other Bates but I think this model in my opinion needs to be FRAGO.
