RADCLIFF, KY (June 6, 2005) U.S. Cavalry C.O.O. Dennis Garvey recently announced that the company is taking a “focused approach to serving the law enforcement community.” U.S. Cavalry believes that the law enforcement community has had to choose between quality products and great service for too long.
While U.S. Cavalry has long been the supplier of choice for SWAT teams, it has only recently begun to focus efforts on serving the officer down the street. To this end, U.S. Cavalry has increased its range of uniforms, duty holsters, and forensic and vehicle equipment.
U.S. Cavalry created Managed Accounts to streamline the ordering process for departments of all sizes. This allows customers to work with the same manager each time, ensuring continuity of service. So, when a department needs “Twenty more of those uniforms we ordered last summer,” their Account Manager will know exactly what they mean. Managed Accounts also help facilitate special requests. When a major metropolitan police department tested skid plates for its vehicles, officers had suggestions for improvement. U.S. Cavalry Contract Sales Team Leader Brian Buchanan stepped in and persuaded the manufacturer to create custom skid plates to meet the department’s needs.
Upon requests from law enforcement agencies, U.S. Cavalry added another level of products to address homeland security. That ever-growing product group ranges from protective clothing to gas, explosive and radiation detection devices. Now, law enforcement departments of all sizes have access to the specialized equipment required to combat the homeland terrorist threat.
Counter-terrorism preparedness is now the responsibility of first responders from sea to shining sea. Until recently, however, there was no central forum for sharing information, strategies and results. To that end, U.S. Cavalry has created OnPoint: An Online Journal of CounterTerrorism. In this small way, U.S. Cavalry hopes to facilitate the exchange of information so that our first line defenders may be as well equipped of mind as they are of body.
U.S. Cavalry looks forward to working with our nations’ law enforcement personnel for years to come.
