Not an all weather pen by far
I bought this pen on deployment to Alaska's Bering Sea at the local Coast Guard exchange. Thought it would be a great tool to have during my many law enforcement boardings. What better pen to have jumping on and off of a crab boat than this one? I thought. Maybe its worth the 11 dollars? Well I'm here to tell you that its not, at least not in a cold marine environment. The thing didn't last but two boardings before it blew up on me, from then on I used just a normal ball point, it was way better and at no cost to me. Apparently the manufactures where being less then truthful about the pens cold tolerance. Maybe it works great in the heat of a desert but chill it just a bit and it breaks down.
