ABU Nametape thread now matches AF badges thread color
I purchased the AF ABU nametapes on late Apr. After reading the previous reviews, I had the attendant double check the thread color and she told me that the current thread color matches the ABU insignia. When I received it, the match was almost perfect (you only see the difference under a strong light, on plain sight, looks perfect) with the occupational badges I purchased from the AF MCSS store.

Not to AF Specs
These are quality nametapes but they are definitely not to AF specifications. The letters are about twice as thick as they are supposed to be and the thread is the wrong shade of blue. Don't order these if you actually intend to sew them on because you can't return them or even get store credit.

Wrong thread color? Or is it?
AFI 36-2903 5.4.3 states the name tape is supposed to be tan with midnight blue lettering, However the ABU wear policy states the name tape will be camouflage with dark blue lettering. Which one do you go buy? The wear policy was incorporated after the reg change.

Not Mil Spec
Letters are twice as thick as a normal nametape, however they look ok on the ABU! Also thread is not compliant w/ 36-2903! But a good product overall!

Wrong thread color
The thread color is not within regs. AFI 36-2903 (sec 5.4.1) states they need to be the midnight blue thread color.
