Finally gave up the ghost
They finally died just before Tank gunnery at Ft. Stewart in March 2012. In the end, both thumbtips had blown out and the fingers were starting to go. I'm blaming sweat, various lubricants, hard work, and a damn good time including overseas training and much Tanking. I went to buy another pair immediately, but something with the sizing must have changed between 2010 and 2012 as the mediums are too small and the large is too big where before the large gloves seemed to be designed specifically for my hand.

So Far So Good
I'm a Tank Platoon Leader and I bought these gloves during Armor BOLC at Ft. Knox a year ago. So far they've held up very well despite handling concertina wire with them, cigarette lighters, Knox mud, Ft. Stewart heat, rain and generally pretty rough treatment. They show what I've put them through, but not as badly as one would expect. The hard knuckles show a few impact scratches and cuts, the leather palms have a few small holes in them- mostly from concertina wire, but the stitching has held up well and the nomex works well in live-fire tank gunnery at Stewart. So far, they're the best gloves I've owned.
