Durable, POCKETS, adaptable fit
I'm impressed by the quality of these. Material is durable, water repellant to a degree and there is elastic in the waist that allows for a great fit whether you have a shirt tucked in or not. Pockets are deep and the cargo pockets have internal pockets to keep things like cell phones or keys in one place instead of all jumbled up with everything else.
Knife/flashlight holder pocket on both both hips! Gotta love Ambi stuff! AND cargo pockets have velcro tabs on the rear/top so you can widen or narrow the space.
You'll want to get some pants too for those other occasions!

As a daily wearer of these shorts, summer to winter, I can vouch for their overall durability and comfort. I highly recommend them, for what that's worth, but there are some things you should know or consider.
While the cargo pockets have dividers for AR-style magazines, it would be nice to have a bit more material/padding between the cargo pockets and the sides of your knees (depending on your leg length) as anything solid in those pockets can rub against the knee when walking/running. I hold a pistol mag in each of the rear-most AR mag pockets as anything in the front ones will bang against the knee when walking- again, depending on your leg length- taller people may not have that issue.
Other than that, the dividers really do hold 30-round mags and are convenient for other items as well- flashlights, passports, pistol mags...
The knife pockets began to wear through the outside due to the profile of the knife inside- maybe not an issue if you don't fully conceal a knife with a pocket clip inside. I still prefer the front slash pocket for knife carry, especially if wearing a holster and wanting to keep both available on the strong side.
The hook and pile fasterners are still holding up fine and keep pocket contents secured, the front closure button snaps positively and stays together. The ability for expansion (elastic section of the waistband) keeps the pants from ever being too tight, but allow for a comfortable degree of expansion for deep sidearm concealment, IWB carry, or Thanksgiving dinners. The pockets are durable, in my experience with them, and definitely spacious.
Outside the cargo pockets, the little pockets hold small stuff without bulging too much- I usually carry a lighter in one and earplugs in the other. I'm not sure if many phones would fit in them very well.
I have two pair of these shorts and wear them back-to-back. They may get a bit warm in the summer, but they conceal dirt pretty well (Coyote color, at least- not sure about the Khaki) and are offered at a very reasonable price. They don't, in my experience, have a tendency to wrinkle, but for shorter legs, material hanging below the knees may pull or rub out leg hair on the calves. Small price to pay for a great pair of shorts.
