The Tactical Tailor Releasable Armor Carrier (TTRAC) features a center pull release system allows the wearer to easily release the vest using either hand.

  • 1000D CORDURA Nylon
  • Accommodates SAPI plates up to size XL (11.00" x 14.00") as well as spall armor
  • NOTE: the TTRAC is designed to carry hard plates; it is not designed to hold BALCS style soft armor
  • Adjustable cummerbund with separate integrated pockets designed for military issue SAPI plates (6.00" x 7.00")
  • Center pull release system allows the wearer to easily release the vest using either hand and is engineered it to be almost as easy to reassemble as it is release
  • Modular webbing on most of the vest surfaces that provides the user with nearly unlimited options for placement of MOLLE/PALS style equipment

Good not great
I wore this for about 14 months in Afghanistan. The cable over the shoulder for the release is uncomfortable and ended up disabling it. The shoulder straps are pretty lame as well, and bought HSGI shoulder pad wraps to add to it. Absolutely no lining on the inside...so there's no circulation or padding. It's easy to get in and out of, and held up through a close IED blast...so that's something. My next deployment will be with a different carrier though.
