Must have for woodland survival
I got tired of dulling my knives cutting down sapplings to make woodland shelters, so I decided to try this one out.
Not only is the blade amazingly sharp when it arrives, but it only takes a few minutes with a sharpener to get the razor edge back. While the hollow handle may give doubts about it's strength, it can take your hardest swings.
Only problem I had was the crappy sheath, it limits wear options, and isn't very secure, I ended up making my own out of a MOLLE pouch that worked much better.

Most durable ax for wildland fire applications
I was aware of this axe but did not appreciate its merits until
my S-211 Instructor told my class about his experience with it
on wildland fire chainsaw assignments. I bought one and it has proven to be the best axe I have ever used. It is tailor made for the way I primarily use it...for hammering felling wedges into saw cuts in trees. It also has an amazingly sharp edge and
holds it longer than any axe I have ever owned. The heft, balance and straight line handle design also rate an A+. Buy this axe and you'll never want to own any other.
