great little light.

I really like this light, its solidly built, it will take any amount of abuse that you can throw at it, and then some, my friend calls it the sunfire because it is that bright, it works at distracting an attacker if you need to, the switch is great. but there may be better switches out there, but I like it, the warranty that surefire offers is probably the best in the world. in a nutshell, it is, other then bulbs and batteries, everything is covered by the warranty. It grips very well, it is my favourite light.

Junk - don't waste your money.

while perhaps not a bad light - this is not something you want to bet your life on. The primary problem is the switch. If you crank the battery cap down to tighten the seal around the o-ring, the light comes on and stays on, and the switch does not work. If you loosen the cap the momentary switch works again and the light goes off, but of course now the cap is loose. You are either going to find loose batteries in your pocket or ruck, or a flashlight full of water.
Extremely poor design.

Very bright

I was very impressed with this light. It is extremely bright and lights up the entire room, the beam is even visible in daylight. I also tested it's stunning/blinding ability on my friends, which it exceeded also and sometimes causes extreme anger depending the on the subject. I even shined it in my own eyes (not recommended)...it hurts. Anyway very good quality and price. And if you get a defective one like dorkface below, then you can probably return it for a new one.

just quit

I ordered this light which it took a week and a half to arrive separate from my original order and not only did it arrive late. As I was at work that night it stopped working completely I checked the batteries and they were fine. I even put in brand new as if the ones already in it weren't surefire batteries and the light still did not function. So now I have a pair of 36 dollar surefire batteries and a non functioning light.

Very Impressive Light.

Until recently my use of Surefire lights has been limited to an M500A Dedicated Forend Weapons Light System, that I have used for several years on my M4, with very good results. I recently purchased a Surefire G2 Handheld Flashlight from US Cav, for use in my SERE E&E drop pouch, and I have to say, this is a great light. Generally, when I purchase a combat light, I consider quality, durability, power, weight, and price. This light receives top scores in all those categories. The G2 light provides a powerful, prefocused light beam with no black spot, a light weight durable Nitrolon polymer body, and momentary or constant on/ off illumination features. This is a very respectable light in the sub $100.00 price range, and for a price of less than $40.00, this is definately a must have purchase. Thanks US Cav!
