Pretty Sturdy Piece of Equipment
No mystery with this, it's a 1-qt canteen pouch akin to the one that Uncle Sam issues. It has the side pouches for your purification tablets, but I usually stick Tabasco sauce or MRE gum (aka laxatives) in there.
Pretty solid construction, matched up well with my Multicam Camelbak Motherlode Assault Pack (as far as the Multicam pattern goes).
Only problem is that the elastic pull strings and the buckle are still black, while everything else (and the pack itself) is Multicam or Coyote, and black lights up on NVGs. Other than that it is good, solid construction, does what it's supposed to do, the MOLLE straps weren't too big and the snaps worked fine, so overall I'm pleased.

Just like Uncle Sam gave you!
The pull-ties are a little different from the ones I was issued, but not that big of a deal.

fixed the problem
the buckle is now foilage green. See, user input is listened to! This is now up to par with issue stuff. Thank you US Cavalry. good to go.

Yes, whats up with the black buckle?
NVG beacon. ACUPAT is foliage green. If it's issue its Foliage Green 504 by ITW Nexus (the current US supplier). Would be better if you guys can appeal to the manufacturer to switch. 1SG or PLT SGT can spot these as non issue first time out.

What's with the black buckle?
Much has been made of the absence of black in ACUPAT, and anyone who has viewed black buckles through NV knows why they are no good. So why is a black buckle being used on camo gear when there is no black in the camo pattern and it's going to show up like a beacon on NV?
All closures on gear should be restricted to the ACUPAT colors only. I hope this gets fixed in a future version of the product (there are other products here suffering from the same design flaw).

This canteen pouch is great to have in the field
This MOLLE canteen pouch is durable and its performance is better than the standard issue canteen pouch. I am usually in the field training and I must say this pouch has stayed in place on my load bearing vest and has never felt cumbersum. Its even easier to access the canteen due to the quick-snap release fastener rather than that tough snap buttons type.
