I had seen friends wearing these boots for awhile. I resisted dropping a buck 10 on boots given that i've got 3 issue pairs that still work. So I finally got tired of sore feet and decided to try a pair. The second my feet slipped in I wanted to grab a ruck and go for a 5 mile run. These boots out of the box fit and feel better than any boots I have ever worn. I can only imagine how good they will be once broken in. If I had to find a fault..Or a potential fault since they are new. I am cautious about how long they will last. They are so light and made of lightweight matterials such as paper thin felt like suede. I am not going to rush to judgement on the durability until I see how they look in a year, but that is my one concern going forward.
Excellent For What It Is, A Lightweight Boot For Lightweight Duty.

I’m active duty air force and have been wearing the sage version of these boots for a few months know. These are by the lightest boots i’ve ever worn and think they look better than the nike lightweight boots. Not to mention that you can buy these for about $40 cheaper. If you read the description these are garrison boots! Are they capable of being used as a tough combat boot? Yes, but obviously the lifetime will be cut dramatically. I own a pair of rocky sv2s as well and wear those on deployments or know i’m going to be doing heavy/dirty work. But the c4t boots weigh less than a single sv2 boot by a considerable amount. People are complaining of this boot failing them during ruck marches and tours of duty in combat zones outside the wire. They are not made for that! I want full front and back level iv body armor that weighs five pounds too. But that’s just not possible! These are lightweigh boots for leightweight duty! They are not poorly made, you are just doing activities that they are not designed to do.
Won'T Stand Up To Ruck March

I bought these boots on a friday evening. I wore them the very next day for a small 5 mile ruck and then for three more days in the field. The left boot started to come apart on the side and the insole on the right boots likes to bunch up in the toe area. Boots are very light and comfortable until the insole started to bunch up. Overall, very disappointed.
Terrible For A Deployed Environment

I purchased the rocky c4s while I was still in iraq because I wanted to try something other then my normal danners. Pro: *comfortable *light weight *breathable cons: *not durable ( they made it 6 months, 3 in iraq and 3 in kuwait, before falling apart) *you can feel every rock through the sole. *Not vulcanized rubber sole they don't meet ar670-1 standards for boots it should be noted that most of my time in iraq was spent on the fob or in caimans not on patrol. I was in kalsu, which is mostly gravel. The inside of the boot started to peal and tear about 2 months into owner ship and a hole formed on the left boot (between the sole and boot seem) after about 5 months. They maybe okay for stateside use but I wouldn't waste you're money if you are in a deployed.

I'm a freshman at norwich university in the corps of cadets and afrotc. I bought these boots after I ruined my tr kiowas during the dog river run (search it on youtube, you'll see why), and I have to say that these are by far the lightest, most comfortable boots I have ever owned. Here at norwich, good boots are very highly valued as we are on our feet almost all day, sometimes doing pt in our ACUs and boots. That being said, the rocky c4t's are very popular in the corps of cadets, and for good reason. They get 5 stars from me.

I have had mine going on two months know and wear them approx. 3 To 4 times a week. There was only a slight break in period with one boot in heel area and that went away after a day or so. These are very light and feel comfortable and they seem to breath as well. They are easy to clean with a small brush for inspections. I feel I have good support in ankle and actually there is good cushion to. I did get my true size and I have no problems with that. I have heard that people have said it runs a half size smaller for them....But it was true size for me. I'm not sure if I would wear these for combat duty though....A little on the soft side for that. But get if you want a tennis shoe like feel. I am going to buy another pair for non-uniform wear! I love these....
