I heard a lot about this knife when i first got into law enforcement. The first time i saw this knife was when a swat team member that retired from the navy seal team boat crews had one strapped to his tac vest. It was then that i new i had to get one. After checking around i found this one to be the most practical for me. This knife was a good investment and i'm looking at buying the bigger one.

Being a former infantry soldier and a life long fan of outdoor activities such as hunting, kayaking, canoeing, camping, extended hiking, etc., I find this particular knife quite useful. Have owned a seal pup for four years and have not managed to break it yet. It retains a good edge and is about the right size. The sheath is also easy to attach to belts, suspenders, packs, and so forth. You might find this the right tool for you.
A New Take On An Old Favorite

This is a good knife! I've owned and used a wide range of outdoor/general purpose survival knives while backpacking, and i am pretty picky about performance and durability. I was a bit skeptical about this new version of the tried-and-true seal pup, but this knife easily matches the hacking, slicing, and stabbing characteristics of its older brother. The new handle design is extremely comfortable over many hours of work with a standard grip, but the large grooves make a blade-up grip a lot less comfortable. The sheath is excellent and very versatile, attaching to just about anything in any orientation. I am not wild about the substantial hollow grind, but through heavy use i have yet to break it.
