Two Flaws Limit Value Of Belt
Posted by John
It is hard to be too critical of a belt that sells at such a low price ($5.99)... However, this belt had two flaws that limited it's usefulness to me. I purchased to attach a sheathed knife and a canteen when hiking. I tried to wear the belt relatively tight on the upper hips to add some lower back support. 1) The quick release buckle will often release on it's own when relatively tight and under the load of waist expansion... As in when bending over. Was often surprised by the keeper just popping out of the buckle... And having to catch the belt before it fell away. 2) Setting the waist size requires continuous adjustment as the compression latch teeth do not bite into the (somewhat slick)webbing very well... So the web slips under load... Causing the belt to expand larger and larger. For function and comfort it was not unusual to need to stop and readjust the belt three times during a day hike. The only way to overcome these problems was to set the belt looser than I found desirable.

Love the watch. Love the tritium. Don't know about a fragile face. I'm rough on watches and it is holding up fine...I don't know if they made changes to the design, but the crystal face on my watch is ever so slightly below the bezel. My only complaint is the cloth band. I loved it at first, but I have lost a decent abount of weight since first purchasing the watch, and it is know adjusted as tight as the strap will allow, but the watch is know too loose know on my wrist. I guess that's a good problem to have. But I would still like to have it just a tad bit tighter.
Great Illumination, Fragile Face

This watch is a great price for tritium gas illumination technology. It glows very well and is very easy to read at night. The downside of this watch is the glass face protrudes slightly beyond the protective hard-rubber bezel and makes it susceptible to bumps, dings and ultimately breakage. I would not recommend this watch to anyone who is tough on their watches (like me). Mine lasted less than a year before the face shattered.

This watch looks and feels great. You can really see the gas illumination well at night. Great for any action adventurer!
